Heather, drift wood, drift rope

Rest your body
and stay a while
as the tides
move in

rest your head
on this bed
of heather
breathe in its
musty smell
of late winter

and pidgeon poo
listen to the song
of humming and
drums
waves crashing
wind dancing
fiercely

let the rocks steady you
and heather caress you

and check your body for ticks
